How to change base URL of Dynamics 365 Add-on Portal

Hi,

In Sandbox environment, we have been testing the capability of Dynamics 365, and we've also provisioned the Dynamics 365 Add-on Portal. But not knowing that this Add-on Portal must be shared between Sandbox and Production instances of Dynamics 365, the Base URL of the Add-on Portal has been set to a URL that we do not want to use for Production use. Is there a way to rename the Base URL of the Add-on Portal? For example can we "uninstall" the Add-on Portal, and re-install using a new Base URL?

Hi, thank you for your response. I was referring to the "Add-on portal", instead of the CRM portal itself. Any idea on this?

Hi Kenji,

I also had the similar requirement and I got in touch with Microsoft for the same. And unfortunately, currently we don't have any option to change the Portal URL once portal gets provisioned.

The only way is to raise a Support Ticket with Microsoft and they will do this for you.

Hi,

One of my clients using Portal addon and I remember this screen, we changed portal url. But currently I can't login because of security reasons so I can't get screenshot for you.

As per my knowledge it is not possible. We can change the CRM Instance URL to which portal is associated but we can't change the portal url once its provisioned.

I recently had a talk with Microsoft for.the same.

The base portal URL can now be changed from the portal administration UI. It appears as a tile one the Portal Actions screen
