CRM 2013 Maintenance Jobs

Hi

We just recently upgraded from CRM 2011 to CRM 2013. It works fine, but I am struggling a bit with the 8 built-in Maintenance jobs generating a lot of Transaction Log. I do backup both database and transaction log every night, but with a 80 GB production database it generates a lot of data (about 30 GB).

The only way I have found to control and change schedule of these jobs is by using this tool from Codeplex

http://crmjobeditor.codeplex.com/releases/view/117948

It is still in beta and has not been updated since January 2014. In fact it still says "CRM 2011 Job Editor" when I run it. Is there not a better way to manage those built-in jobs? Does anyone knows where the data for these jobs are located?

Best Regards

Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

You may also refer to the maintenance guide from CRM 2013 Implementation Guide.

    Link - http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=40322

    See if this helps.

    Thanks !

    Hi Aftab

Thanks for the link. You would think that something important as maintenance jobs would be mentioned in the official Maintaining Guide from Microsoft, but I can't find anything about this at all.

    Best Regards

    Thomas

This is the only information I have been able to find on the subject:
