My user is running out of number sequence in GL. Does anyone know what the impact of adding extra digit to the number sequence to extend it mid year is?

We had similar situation not while ago, we increased the number sequence by additional digit and didn't had any issues since.

There will not be any impact of adding extra digit in the number sequence. Just make sure that you add additional 1 digit in the Number allocation field group in the General tab of the number sequence while adding it on the Segment section.

but you need to check if is there any report or customization based on number sequence or not ?
