Hi,
We would like to cover the following use cases and need to comply with GDPR.
a) User requests whitepaper via form.
b) System sends double opt in email.
c) User confirms double opt in link in email.
d) System adds/updates contact and sets GDPR consent for whitepaper.
e) After confirmation user receives email with download link to whitepaper. (we got to know that direct attachment is not possible.)
a) User subscribes to newsletter via online form.
b) System sends double opt in email.
c) User confirms double opt in link in email.
d) system adds/updates contact and sets GDPR consent for newsletter.
Our challenge
The double opt in needs to work separately for both cases. That means if the user confirmed the whitepaper he did not automatically give his consent for the newsletter and vice versa. The default in Dynamics 365 Marketing seems to allow to set the consent only "globally" for a contact for all cases. Does anybody have a solution to set it separately for different cases?
Thank you!
no problem! most important is to know that the answer was helpful than to have it marked :)
Great, thank you Elena.
PS. I tried to mark as "Yes" under "Did this answer your questions?", but I am getting this msg "You do not have permission to update this reply."
Hi Kass,
it is in April release (called Form-level DoI)
I'd be interested in getting feedback on this feature once you try it :)

Hi Elena,
I was having the same question/issue. Do you have any idea when can we expect this to be available?
Thank you!
Hi maschsee,
At the moment, there is only a global setting for DoI. But we are working to have DoI on a form level, which will also allow for to customize confirmation emails sent to your customers (eg will be different for whitepaper and newsletter). Will it solve the problem that you have written about?
