Should full or incremental backups be taken daily?

I am new to the agency as CIO. The agency is taking daily full back ups of the system. When I asked why they weren't doing daily incrementals with a weekly full, they stated that it was conveyed to them by a GP represenative that daily fulls was the proper time. Doesn't seem to make since to me. Can someone help clarify?

Actually it depends on the size of your database, both options are valid and does not affect Dynamics GP.
