Hi,
I want to extract data from an AX2012 database which is hosted internally in my company and import it into a CRM database hosted externally. How do I find out the CRM database connection details? I'm an administrator on CRM but have never used it before so don't know my way around it.
Also, I see in the Categories filter below theres a 'Connector For ERP' option. Is this something I may need for such a data extract?

You should not import data directly into sql from another non-dynamics crm system.
I would recommend using a tool like Scribe Insight and use the crm adapter or use the web services from crm to import data.
(Depending on the load you might want to use the default excel import tool)
To answer your question:
Go to settings > customizations > developer resources
You should be able to find all the needed information there to use the api.
(sql is not accessible in dynamics crm online.)
