Changing status of a PO

Hello,

We are trying to change the status of a PO from open to closed. Occasionally, we will have a small remaining balance on the PO and we would like to close it so that no further amounts can be applied to it by mistake.

Let me know if you need further information.

Thank you,

Kelly

You can select the line that has open quantity or open status, either reduced the quantity on the line OR use deliver remainder functionality at a line level to cancel the remainder of the balance which will change the PO status to Invoiced (provided everything else was received /invoiced). you may have to repeat the steps for all lines that are not in invoiced status. Header status only changes when all lines status is canceled OR invoiced.

    Thanks,

    Satish Panwar

    Hi Kmccann,

Use the delivery remainder functionality for the Purchase orders that are not being processed for full quantity.

Go to the PO> Select the line > Go to Update line> Delivery remainder.

Remove the remaining quantity of the PO line. You can always get inquiry about what was received and what was ordered.

Go to the PO> General Tab> Related Information> Line quantity.

    Hope this helps your question.

    Regards,

    Zain
