"This transaction was recovered during normal processing. You may continue this transaction"

We are stuck in an infinite loop trying to post/void/move forward with a sales invoice. We are currently stuck here. The previous posters who asked this question have all tried freeing up the Activity and SY00800. We have also done this several times. We need to know how to clean this transaction out. Surely there is some documentation on this situation since an error message was written for it. Thanks!

    Hello, I have the same issue when trying to void a Layaway, i get the transaction was recovered during normal processing, pop up.

    and Im unable to void the layaway, unless i transfer into invoice and void the invoice.

    I created the exact same layaway, same sku, customer, etc, in the test company and I was able to void it.

    any Ideas anyone

    thank you

    I know this is an old post, but I think I may have found the problem.  In our case we are using serial tracked items.  When I queried SOP10201 I found entries that had a serial number equal to the item number instead of a proper s/n.  For example:

    70-123456 = Zero Qty

    ABC123 = 1 unit

    ABC124 = 1 unit

    ABC125 = 1 unit

    ABC126 = 1 unit

    ABC127 = 1 unit

    Total serials 5, total entries 6.

    We are using a the Serial/Lot Copy/Paste tool from Binary Stream for our serial/lot numbers. My educated guess is that the user copied/pasted the item number in addition to the serials from their source.  Once I removed these I was able to post the invoices without a problem.

    Hope this helps someone out there.

    Nothing we did resolved the issue. Finally had to admit defeat and remove the transaction from the SOP10100 and SOP10200 and check links to clean it up. We also reconciled the inventory item to get him back in line as well.
