Permission for a specific role not working properly

Hi All,

We have role called 'Project Manager' in our system. This role is granted only 'Read' permission of Contact Card page.

But, the Project Manager is able to make changes on the contact card after opening the page in Edit mode. However, the system throws validation after clicking on the back button (which is desirable).

We want that the Project Manager should only be able to open the contact card in Read Only mode. It should not be allowed to make any changes on the page (disable the edit mode).

How it could be achieved, please suggest !

Thanks !

This is to me more a matter of visibility rather than permission itself. I would use the visibility of the page or refine even to single controls instead of using Permissions.

Permissions is more a reactive measure while visibility is a proactive one.
