Can anyone tell me the use of adding ProjExtensionHash in table and index as field.
I saw one table ProjSalesPriceHour in which they have added ProjExtensionHash as field and index.
I have the same question (0)

    Is your question related to AX 2012 or Dynamics 365?
     
    The field is used to calculate a unique hash for fields part of a table extension which should ensure that there are no duplicates including the custom fields. If e.g. you have a requirement to add a Region field as customization to determine the sales price, then you would prevent having a price set up for the same category/region combination.
    A similar strategy was used for inventory dimensions when the number of dimensions exceeded the maximum number of fields that can be part of an index.
     
    There is a class ProjExtensionHashCalculator giving the next summary: This class is used to compute a hash value for customer extension fields, so that a field containing the hash may be included in a unique index on the table.

    This is quite confusing, can u pls tell me what is the use of hash field and index in ProjSalesPriceHour table for better understanding.
