Importing Products

Hello!

We have a trouble with importing products.

We make export, then make some changes in ther and make import again... What if I delete any product, what should I do to make this item unactive in CRM?

Thank you!

    Hi,

Rather than delete the row from your exported spreadsheet, export the Status and Status Reason columns as well. If you need to make a product Inactive, you can set both these columns to 'Inactive' on your export and then re-import.

    Thank you for quick reply!

But when I export the columns Status and Status Reason - there is a message that I won't be able to Re-Import this file "Invalid column headers"

Are you using CRM 4? Exporting Status Columns fro re-import is not supported in CRM4.

As a work around, you could create a custom attribute flag on your product called 'Deactivate' that you export and re-import. Then register a workflow that automatically runs when this flag changes, then Change the status to deactivated in the workflow if the flag is set to 'Yes'.

What rollup are you on - I've done this in the past with UR12 (I think) with no problem.
