Problem with Designer

Posted on by 50

Hi,

This weekend i was working in a CRM online instance, adding and testing some PCF Controls, and i noticed that the controls are missing in the forms. No standard control or custom control. I checked the form, using powerapps and the fields appear on the entity but without any default control. I verified the form with XMLFormEditor and everything is there.

Finally i found the custom control with the manifest problem using ' in a description. I deleted that component from solutions, deleted the code from using webresource manager, but seems to be that the manifest file was still around there giving trouble. So i fixed the control and reinstalled it again.

I've been working with this controls, improving them since last two months.

It's a solution with 4 o 5 controls, i recheck them, looking for the faulty one. Im using them in many places. in other entities appear the default native control but not the custom.

This is a bug which can caused by the faulty custom control that makes the Add Control list of any view to become blank. Please try to remove the potentially faulty (or all) PCF controls in your environment and try again.

You can refer to the forum thread below for more details.

    Hello,

Have you imported any PCF controls to the instance? I had exactly the same issue when I added the control that had ' - quote in description of the control in the manifest file. It's a known bug of the platform.
