Master planning setup with multiple vendors

We have to setup master planning for items where we multi-source from different suppliers.  How is this handled in dynamics AX 2012 for master planning?

Is there a vendor hierarchy setup we need to setup if we want to allocate the replenishment by % from vendor A and % from vendor B?

thank you,

    Hi anilda1214,

You can set a Primary Vendor on the Item, and AX will always suggest that Vendor. You can manually change the Vendor before each planned order is firmed, if required.

Or, you can ask AX to search Vendor Trade Agreements for the cheapest vendor or the vendor with the shortest lead time (this parameter is set at the Company level). Again, you can manually change the Vendor that Master Planning suggests if required.

There is nothing in standard for Master Planning to allocate purchase orders in the way you describe.
