Decrement Entitlement Terms do not work with Team Permissions

Hi,

  1. I have a Team "Customer Service Users".
  2. This Team is assigned the Security Role: "Customer Service Users".
  3. The Security Role gives Global "Control Decrement Terms" privileges.
  4. The Team is setup as "Direct User (Basic) Access level and Team privileges.
  5. A User who is assigned to the Team, does not have permissions to set the "Decrement Terms" value even though IMHO he should have permissions. Editing other fields on the Case works without issues.
  6. If I assign the Security Role directly to the User, he gets the permissions and is able to select a value for this field.

Is this a bug? Or am I misunderstanding Teams and the assigned Security Roles?

Thanks.

     Hi Serf,

It is not a bug, which is by-design. you misunderstanding Teams and the assigned Security Roles as you said.

You must assign security role to the user directly not assign security role to team and hope users who belong to the team can have privileges from team security role.
