Product Catalog --> Add Family --> Product Properties Throwing Error

Greetings All,

I am trying to use Option Sets as per the tutorial https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/manage-organize-product-catalog-dynamics-365-sales/6-configure-product-catalog

In section "Working with products, families, and bundles", I cannot go beyond Step 11. Fields in "Quick Create: Property Option Set Item" are locked. Can anyone help me figure out why?

    Hi Ashish,

I followed the same steps and I can add option set like following, and from your screen it seems you are on Field Service app whereas you should be on the Sales hub, make sure you are following steps correctly.

    Mahen,

You are right. It worked for me when I tried it thru the Sales Hub.

That is so weird. It just blows my mind. The "products" should work irrespective in Sales Hub or Field Service. It is part of the common data objects. I wonder why this specific area was disabled in Field Service.

    Thanks Anyways.

    Hi Ashish,

You can add it from the field service as but out of the box field service app is not configured with the correct property optionset form (currently it opens main form where these field are disabled by default) but if we will change this form in the field service, we will be able to do that as well.

This require modification in the field service app, you need to enable Property Optionset Item entity first and then need to make sure only quick create form is selected.

After publish it will work !

    Mahen,

Thanks. That is helpful. Have not figured out how to change Property Optionset. Now you have given me one more reason to investigate this powerful tool.
