"Select Data Map" step is missing in Import Data Wizard

Hi all,

I'm importing data into CRM using Excel Template exported from CRM. During data import, after the file is uploaded successfully, it shows "Review File Upload Summary" then will go to "Map Fields" step, and by passing the "Select Data Map" step. I've no idea what went wrong and I want to have the "Select Data Map" step back as data map is defined for ease of import.

Any help is much appreciated.

    Reimporting Exported Files don't show Select Data Map Step. If you need the step delete ABC column and try gain.

    Hi Saad,

    Thanks. However, after the removal of column ABCs, I'm getting the error message "The selected solution import file either does not exist or is invalid. Please select a file which was Exported from this system." during the file upload. Any suggestion on that?

    Copy the remaining fields to another excel. Convert it to csv and try to reimport

    Hi

    Since you are re-importing the data back to CRM, so it would be case of update instead of create of new data, and since its an update so need not to select any data map, it simply resolves the data based on the GUID : Modified Date which are available in the first three columns...

    If you want the DataMap functionality you need to unhide these three columns, delete the content and then go for data import, but in that case CRM will be creating/adding new records with the data in the file
