Auto load report template

ReportReport

Is there a way to auto-load a report template?  Or change the way the default report works without modifying crystal reports?  All I'm trying to do is to have the AR Aging report sort by docdate instead of refnbr which I am able to do via the templates, but now I want that to be the default.

 Thanks.

OK Nevermind, I figured it out through Crystal Reports and put it in the usr_rpts directory and we're good to go!  thanks!

That would be ok if I can change the sort fields in Crystal Reports somehow.  Right now what I am doing is going into the Sort tab and changing refnbr to docdate and moving it up two levels.  I'm not sure if I would have that capability in Crystal Reports (not a CR expert).  Is there a way that you know of to do that?  Thanks for all your help!

That's a great question.   Basically, you want a capability to set a particular report template as a "default" and have that load up when loading up a screen.

However, I can't find any way to do that.

The way we've always done that is to copy an existing report to the Usr_Rpts, make the update required, and save in that directory.   If you want that particular report to be the "default report", then you can change the order of the defined reports in the Report Control Maintenance screen (98.300).   Whichever report is listed first will be the report that loads when the screen is opened.

     Hope this helps.
