CRM 2016 On Premise - Deletion of a Failed\Canceled System Job causes an error

Posted on by 645

Hi,

When i am trying to do normal delete by selecting" Failed\Canceled" System Jobs.I am getting generic error"Occurred some error,go back to home page" and retry.

But its never working these way.I am having "System Admin" access as well as system delete role assigned.

I tried solution mentioned in below article, but no luck.

    Hi Krish,

Is there any more error logs for this issue? The error message is a little general.

    Best Regards,

    Judy

    Hi there.

    It's a bug in MS CRM 2016.

    Have you tried this one?

...and this is how you can do it the Internet Explorer way, very similar indeed, just tried it myself:

    1. in CRM, open system jobs
    2. Press F12 to jump to the developer tools
    3. Switch to Console tab
    4. On the upper right side choose "Frame: home_asyncoperation.aspx" from the target drop down box
    5. Type in Mscrm.EntityPropUtil.EntityTypeName2CodeMap.asyncoperation = 9005 on the bottom of the dev tools, next to the > sign and press enter
    6. Now you should be able to delete any selected job log

    using CRM 2016 on-premise, btw.

    Kind regards,

    Karsten
