Uninstall a package with the All-in-one-Deployment (ADP)

Hello All,

We have an issue at hand. Initially uninstalling a module involves

  • Creating a ModuleToRemove.Txt
  • Insert each model name to be uninstalled line by line
  • Create a deployable package
  • Copy the ModuleToRemove.txt into the Scripts folder

All these we did for our ADP package but it fails validation in LCS. I want to know how do we go about this with the ADP process.

I have the same question (0)

    1) Did you fulfill all the prerequisites listed in the doc page: docs.microsoft.com/.../uninstall-deployable-package ?

    2) What error message did you get in LCS?

No, just that the package is invalid in the Asset library

    Yes we fulfilled all prerequisites

Actually also am kind of worried about how the uninstallation will happen for the ADP package because packages u want to uninstall and also part of the packages you are installing.

Does the uninstallation scripts kicks off after package deployment or before package deployment. if it happens before then it's meaningless.

But why it's making our package invalid when we add ModuleToRemove is still confusing as well

In case some else come across this issue. Microsoft's documentation guidance will not work if you have Multiple Packages in your DP.

Found the answer to this question on Github.

What is required is to create ModulesToRemove.Txt and not ModuleToRemove.Txt.

I need to say that this may not work for all as the discussion on the Github platform explains

I think that the check is not depending on the nr of packages, just the filename.

Earlier ModuleToRemove was the correct name, not sure if MS has changed something.

Anyway good if it works for you now.

Some are of the opinion that it varies but no standard reason why it's not same for everyone. In my case If i have a single Package it works but if i have multiple i have to use the plural form
