Constant Email notifications

I set-up a Workflow that automatically sends an Email whenever a new Record is created.  It works fine, but it keeps repeating, eg, you'll get 100 of the same Email every day.  I added the step to Stop with a Status of Succeeded, but this has made no difference.

Then, yesterday, I ran a Duplicate Detection job, following the import of some new Account records.  I got the Email Notification from CRM that it was 'Complete', but I've (again) received nearly 40 copies of the same Email from CRM telling me it's 'Complete'.  They seem to be coming through every 30 minutes. 

Is this a known issue?  I did a quick search of the web, but perhaps I'm not phrasing it correctly.

    I think if you open that order, then, under "activities", you should see the email. Click on it to open the email record - you will see status reason in the header..

    I'm wondering if

    1) You have only one email under activities

    2) If you do, what's the "status reason" of that email

    The emails are coming through every 30 minutes.  Not sure where I should check to see the status of the email to confirm it's 'Sent'?  Could you provide the path?  Cheers.

    There should be only 1 email.. if it were sending 100s everywhere, this whole community forum would be flooded with email-related questions:)

    Maybe something on the email integration side does not work, though I am not sure what it might be.. Are you getting the same email 100 of times over a few hours or are they all coming in at once? If they are spread out, maybe you could check the status of that email in Dynamics once you have received it (wondering if, somehow, the status does not gets switched to "sent")

    Please note, however, that the Duplicate Detection job was just a standard job, but I've received 40 of those notifications too, so it seems to be the way CRM is firing off emails.

    Hi Brian,

     there might be something in the workflow? How did you set up the triggers? Could you post a screenshot of that workflow?
