Update Rollup "Publish Reports to All Organizations" ?

Since about Update Rollup #2 I have noticed the 'Publish Reports to All Organizations' checkbox that appears when installing the rollup. Sometimes when I CHECK this option, the update rollup will fail with the error message

Action Microsoft.Crm.UpdateWrapper.ReportsUpdateAction failedThe request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

I have found that if I UNCHECK this option, the install of the rollup completes fine. (I have tried to fix this issue based on other recommendations, but with no luck)

Question is this: What are the implications of NOT 'publishing reports to all organizations?'

Hi,

Same here. Id like to know what is the catch. I reckon that if there was some sort of critical update that should be done to the reports, this option would be either ticked by default, or simply done by default.

What is the catch?
