AOS multiple session issue

Hi All,

We are seeing multiple sessions of users whenever a user connected to AOS through remote desktop or by any medium.

Just for example, I have opened AX client through one user and it created 5 session for that user id.

I have made sure that this user id is not have any process, form open or any batch job schedule by this user.

Can anyone guide me why this is happening? or this is default behavior? if default then what's the logic?

We are using AX 2012 R3 CU11.

This is normal, AX is not using a single connection only for a user, but typically it is 4-5. Do you have role center enabled? That would explain web user sessions. Additional worker sessions could be opened by UserConnection for example, that is also normal behaviour.

    Hi Vilmos,

    Thanks for the answer.

I understand for web sessions created by role center.

But what about those sessions which are connected to batch server?

The mention user do not have any batch job scheduled.

    Regards,

    Hassan

I do not understand what you mean by batch users. I gave clear explanation for all user types on the screenshot. AX can make multiple parallel calls against the AX AOS instances utilizing multiple worker sessions, in separate TTS transaction blocks.

    Hi Hassan,

In addition: Worker sessions are created for e.g. SSRS reports. When a user prints a report in batch, it could explain why there are sessions on the batch server. Also the workflow distributor batch will try to evaluate if a user has sufficient permissions by logging on as the user, so this could also be an explanation.

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for answer.

I am trying to ask that when I connect AX client through my user, I am seeing multiple session (4-5) in AX online session form. Some of session (worker) connecting with Batch AOS even my user id dont have any thing schedule or any report opening etc.

Can you please clear my this confusion.

    Regards

    Hassan

You could always try and capture what is going on the Batch AOS with your user account and see what is executing within the Trace Parser.

    I have resolved my issue.

The problem was that there was SSRS configuration available in AX for batch servers also. Therefor the SSRS session were connecting to Batch servers also.

We have removed SSRS configurations for batch servers and now session are not connecting batch servers unless there is any batch process run by user.

    Regards,

    Hassan
