Planned Production Order status "Approved"

is there any Blog or detailed write up on what exactly Planned production order Status "Approved " does?

Help states this status does not delete planned order in next MRP run, and yes it does that.

but at the same time it does not explode the sub assembly or component for this line in next MRP run  .

is that how it is supposed to work?

    There is a blog about MRP and related inventory, warehouse things in AX2012.

    As far as I know it is not regularly updated anymore but the information there might help you.

    Hi Yashpal,

    You can find MS documentation here related to planned order status. You can check this blog as well. Though it talks about AX 2012, the same process applies to D365 F&O.
