Is create a site setting 'Authentication/Registration/ExternalLoginEnabled' with a value of 'false' correct in preventing users from logging in externally?  Asking because setting it to false still displayes the "Sign in with an external account" and an "Azure AD" button.

    I am seeing the same issue zabby. I would like to remove all external accounts. Where you able to find an answer?

    It looks like the buttons don't actually lead anywhere when that site setting is set to false, which is fine.  However, the labels and buttons still displayed on my page, which is confusing for users.   As a temporary workaround, I just cleared out the Label text and used CSS to hide the button.

    Interesting, with my site setting to false the button is still displayed and goes to a login page. Do you mind sharing the CSS?

    form[action="/Account/Login/ExternalLogin?ReturnUrl=%2Fprofile%2F%3FReturnUrl%3D%2F"], a.list-group-item[title="Manage External Authentication"], form[action="/Account/Login/ExternalLogin?ReturnUrl=%2F"], button[title="Sign in with your Azure AD account."]{display: none;}

    good luck!

    Hello Zabby

    Have a look at this link for turning off your external link

    community.adxstudio.com/.../asp.net-identity-authentication

    and look into this for turning off your site settings for Azure AD

    Did you find anything about this? Is this a bug or the tag is wrong?

    MS said to add the following to the theme.css file:

    .btn-line {

                   visibility: hidden;

    }

    Gets rid of the buttons but you still have to go in manually (From the edit screen) and blank out the "Sign in with an external account"... I blanked out the Sign In text too because the lines still show

    You say, from the edit screen. does this mean on the sign in page, you choose the menu item Edit, same way as to modify other pages?
    I currently doesn't have the option. I guess because we limited website access permissions to Administrators only.

    Birgit: Yes.  While on the Sign In page, click Sign In again and then sign in with an Web Site Administrator MS User (User that has an Administrator Web Role for the Web Site you are trying to change).  This will pop up the Edit menu which will allow you to remove the External Sign in text.  I am not sure how to get to the Sign in Page/Form from Dynamics.
