Saving quote report(s) to SharePoint

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I really can't figure this one out. There should be an easy way to save Quote reports (pdf) to a SharePoint location or am I totally wrong?

All I found how to do it is with paid solutions. Though, I have a SharePoint location and Dynamics 365 online has SharePoint integration?

Could anyone walk me through the process of getting a (finished) quote to my Quote SharePoint folder (all the folders are created in SharePoint with dynamics Document settings.

I can run a report of my finished quote and generate a PDF from it and save, though the save button just saves it to my local computer instead of a SharePoint location.

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, You cannot copy the quotes directly from Dynamics 365 to SharePoint.

Though you can create a word document and then you copy it to SharePoint.

There are add ons that would copy the quotes to SharePoint for you.

But they may not be as reliable as a out-of-box solution would be.

This feature needs to be part of Dynamics 365 and not of SharePoint.

    Hi,

You can try our 1 Click solution - Click2Export  - with which you can export Dynamics 365 CRM Reports/Word document templates and upload it directly to SharePoint. Apart from uploading it to SharePoint, you can also attach the exported report/word document to note record, attach and auto-send it through email or simply download it on your system.

    Hello Nicolas,

Unfortunately no, not even for Word documents. There is no out-of-the-box feature that will allow you to copy or move any document from Dynamics 365 to SharePoint. A third-party solution is your best option.

    Michel,

Thank you for your response! I created a workflow to generate a word template from my quote, this works. Though, the next step is to save this generated document to SharePoint, but as I understand there is no out-of-the-box feature for this available, even with just a word template?

    Hello,

In the out-of-the-box (standard) functionality of Dynamics 365, there is unfortunately no feature for you to automatically copy documents generated from Dynamics 365 to SharePoint.

The only option you have out-of-the-box (standard) is generating a Word document with the Word Templates feature. This can be done manually or in a workflow (automated) via 'Actions'. This Word document can how ever not automatically be converted to PDF (with out-of-the-box features)

The paid solutions you found are your best bet if you want to automate this.

    I can recommend these:
