Year to date usage for Items

I cannot seem to find a year to date usage report for items??

I can see item sales current and last year...but nothing that links into the manufacturing use.

This is pretty standard reporting

    Hello Tami

Good to hear back from you again,
I do agree with you that inventory module specifically provides a bit of limited reporting capabilities, leaving a wide space for customization. I have worked on several inventory reports and might provide something related to your requirements.

Can you provide further specification of the concept of the report you are looking for ? Would it be all the inventory transactions related to manufacturing module specifically ?

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

    Hi there Mahmoud

Yes....how many used in manufacturing specifically...ytd, mtd...or custom date range..

I guess I could write a custom report...just surprised there isn't some canned report that does this??

Thank you for the links....do you happen to have some document on creating views in SQL... on which I can store then hit with Crystal reporting for drill down??

That would be helpful as I am new to the reporting and require a lot of customization. I have a query that our consultant created for us...and had a brief overview of creating a Sql view...un fortunately that was a while back and I have forgotten the procedure.

I think it is create view..paste in the query and then save??

    Thank you again!

    Tami,

To create a view from a "SELECT" statement, simply consider adding few lines as follows:

    CREATE VIEW View_Name
    AS
    SELECT
    ...

    ...

    GO
GRANT SELECT ON View_Name TO DYNGRP

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

Never hesitate to share any further inquiries,

to be honest...it is a little beyond me...I have been using a subreport

    if {IV30300.TRXQTY} <0 and {IV30300.DOCDATE} >= Date (2014,10 ,01 )then {IV30300.TRXQTY} else 0

in my crystal reports...but I need a format in smart list ...as it doesn not export well into excel

    Tami
