CRM emailing questions

Posted on by

Hi All,
If some contact record doesn't have email addresses. and if we send emails to multiple recipients.
1. Surely the CRM will send the email to those recipients who do have an email address, even if it can't send it to all recipients (ie. those without an email address)?

2. There is a Communications Error that comes up when this occurs. how can we turn 'off' the Communications Error in this instance?

3. How can the we confirm that their email has been sent?

4. How can the we identify the recipients who do NOT have an email address?

Thanks

I would say make the email field mandatory. For the existing records, update them with an internal/dummy email id

    Hi Prashant,

The problem we have is we are progressively recording email addresses, but when we want to send an email to all or some of their customers it would be a ridiculously lengthy exercise to review the individual record for each customer to see if an email is in the primary email field.

Can you please advice the best possible way to handle this.

    1. Error prompt includes the name of the intended recipient that is missing an email address so this person can be removed from the TO field at the point just prior to sending

    OR

    2. Allowing the email to be sent to those people who do have an email address in the TO field, even if some don't (ie. just not sending to those people).

    Thanks.

    Hi RP,

Answer to your 1st point, no the system will not send email until and unless all the recipients have an email id. Even if one recipient does not have an email Id, system throws an error

    2. Can you share a screenshot

3.Email has been sent, can be checked on the Email status, which needs to be 'Sent'

    4. if you have more than one recipient, you will have to click through each of them to see if they dont have an email id
