If you restart GP does it still happen?
If you are still having the issue, set the following parameters to true in your dex.ini file. The logs will often offer some insight:
SQLLogSQLStmt=TRUESQLLogODBCMessages=TRUESQLLogAllODBCMessages=TRUE
Yeah, to echo George, when does the error occur? Also, is it only in client or all?
