Data migration

Hi All ,

Does any document/ MS link available to know about which entities to be considered for each module data migration in D365 F&O? 

Example: Data entity for GL & sub ledger opening balances,  Master data entities, Open documents entities ( Sales order, Purchase order ...)

Any light on this ask is appreciated.

    Hi lally,

    You can find out the list of entities belongs to specific models not modules.

    This excel can be taken from visual studio. Navigate to Visual studio >> Extensions >> Dynamics 365 >> Addins >> Data Entity Report - This will download the csv file with list of entities against each model and also with additional details.

    Hey Ially,

    I'd recommend going to Data Management> Templates and loading the default templates. It looks like this:

    After loading, you can access the templates to see the module and the category of the entity to load.

    Hi lally ,

    When it applies to configuration, you can use Microsoft default entities on data management framework.

    dynfotech.com/.../

    You can also filter entities based of their modules and entity category to get actual entities:
