ReportReport

I was curious if there was anything in Great Plains that would distinguish Preliminary information versus Final.  We run preliminary monthly financials then we audit and make any corrections, close the modules and run our final.  However, there is no way of telling on our reports the difference between the two stages.  I was wondering is there any type of process in Great Plains that would help us do this.

Our other option , is to just have programming print the words FINAL on the report based on whether the period is closed or not.

Any input is appreciated.  We are on GP 10.

Thanks

I know that most of my customers were using FRx  now MR and within the footer they entered in the date and time that a report is published.  This way they would automatically know if that was the final report of one of the preliminary.

You have  not stated  in your  question if you are using Great Plains GP or AX or SL.  So, what are using to print your financials.  (Advanced Financial Analysis or FRx/MR).   But if you are using FRX or MR with your report you can easily add the date/time Footer onto the report.  They also would add the ID of the report so that if something were to happen to the person who normally created the financials, the next person could easily go to the financial statements and come up with the reports that they were printing.

We are using GP 10 and we use Crystal Reports for our financial statements.  We do have a date and time on the report but I was just curious if there was something in the system that I wasn't aware of.  Thanks for your reply!
