Hi All,
I have derived a new payment model with Microsoft PaymentModel as parent under Electronic reporting workspace. It is an Australian direct debit format and has the below hierarchy after downloading it from LCS:
In my derived model "DirectDebitFormat" as shown above, I want to copy the format from "WBC Direct Entry System", because currently, it is showing blank when I created it. Is there a way to copy the format from Microsoft provided model or I need to create the format from scratch? Following is the format model for WBC Direct Entry System (AU), which I want to copy and put it under "DirectDebitFormat".
Thanks,
Baber.
Hi Baber ,
I don't think you have to do it manually . First step is create your own model derive from a standard one . Then create your own format deriving from "WBC Direct Entry System (AU)" . Refer below screens . I am able to do it and create my own format "MyTest"
Hi Baber,
I do not believe there is a way to copy a format like that. When you derive a format from a model configuration it will be blank by default because you are creating a new format. If you were to derive from an existing format, the mapping and nodes would be copied over, but it sounds like that is not what you are trying to do.
I'm afraid this is something you will have to do manually.

Hi Ludwig,
In my case, I have created a new Direct debit model with "Format based on data model DerivedPaymentModel" checked. See the screenshot below:
When I open the Designer for my new format, it is empty as shown below:
I want to copy the below format which is for WBC Direct Entry system:
There is no option to copy the above format and put that into the format you created.
Thanks,
Good morning Baber,
I think that you should be able to copy that.
Because I am not familiar with the Aussie formats, I added them in my demo machine and created a derived payment model.
The WBC direct entry system can be copied and assigned to your newly created payment model.
In my case I called it ... Ludwig
Please have a look at the next screenprint.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Any suggestions Ludwig? Do you think I need to create the format from scratch or are there any options to copy the format from Microsoft provided model ?
Hi Ludwig,
DerivedPaymentModel has been derived from Payment model which is the root node and the provider is Microsoft. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Baber.
Hi Baber,
How was the 'DerivedPaymentModel' node created?
This must be something created manually or is this node linked to the MS configuration provider?
Best regards,
Ludwig
