does anyone manage the subcontracting work with an intercompany supplier?
I want to understand if it is possible to manage with D365 the INTERCOMPANY SUBCONTRACTED WORK flow between companies of the same group.
I have always managed the subcontracted work flow with external suppliers, but I have a case of outsourcing where the supplier is part of my company and with whom I manage the intercompany.
In order to manage the Subcontracted work in a INTERCOMPANY flow, the company that asks the service has to make a Purchase order for the service item (with product type "service"), automatically, a Sales Order in D365 for the intercompany supplier will be created with the same item service (product type "service")
so the scenario is
CUSTOMER of company A with PURCHASE ORDER for service item C
SUPPLIER of company A with SALES ORDER for service item C
the problem is that the SUPPLIER, on dynamics, must manage Work order for the service that provides to the CUSTOMER INTERCOMPANY, but having for the item Product type "SERVICE" (required by SUBCONTRACTED WORK), it is impossible for him (it is not possible create work order for service item).
How I can guarantee the correct flow of subcontracted work allowing:
for the CUSTOMER that raise the PURCHASE ORDER, the managment of service item with product type "service"
for the SUPPLIER that provide the service, the managment of service item with product type "item" in order to manage before the shipping, the production by Work Order.
