I have created a Meeting Room Booking on the portal and want to add a validation that if a room is already booked and someone else tries to book that room at that particular time, the system should throw an error.. how do i do this?

In regards to your concern, You should use plugin to fulfill this requirement.
You can create plugin in DynamicsCRM & check that room is already created by someone in 'On Create' operation and Pre validation using plugin registration.
