I know Word Templates have been around for some time - but as they say, it takes time to teach an "old dog" to use new tricks - or something like that, anyway . . .
Situation
I am trying to make a new template for the PM Historical Aged Trial Balance as the client really does not like (1) the font (2) the size of the printing (3) the spacing (4) I am not sure but I am sure there are more reasons
So we decided to do the changes in Word - more flexibility to make the changes and to get into the 21st Century as my kids would say.
What we have so far is a Template created from the PM Historical Aged Trial Balance via XML - that was fun, but once learned, pretty easy.
Now we are in Word looking at a TEMPLATE that appears to have no Page Header, No Report Header or Footer, No UNDERLINES or any of the formatting that we have in the Report Writer version.
Question
1. Did we do something wrong when creating the XML file that caused the file to be created with our Report Header / Footer
2. If I did not do anything wrong, am I correct to assume that I have now to recreate the Header / Footer as needed to make the report look good?
3. In looking at the printed version of the 'current template' I note that the fields appear to be wrong size - as example - the date field for the Doc Date appears correct, however it is wrapping the text - so I don't get the 06/13/2015 all on one line - it drops the 15 to the line below. It is doing this for all dates in the body of the report. Where the Aging Date, System Date and others are located ( would be header ) they all appear correct. So the simple question is how to make the field display BIGGER. Do I have to make that change in the Report Writer Version first before export?
