Finding Backorders

Hello,

When we receive PO's, we can print out the back order lists. Occasionally we end up voiding several orders due to cancellations. When you go to the "Item Inquire" screen, it shows that there are still back orders, but it doesn't provide a link to access those back orders. This should be a simple task, so there has to be a way to access this information, especially since GP has already calculated the # of back orders.

The only thing I have figured out is to go into the sales line items, type in the part number, and search all orders. But, this is very tedious because it searches all sites, and in includes back ordered and fulfilled, and sometimes there are several 100's of orders. I have to click every single order (and they are not in order of date), and check one by one to see if they are back ordered, and what site they are in.

Please tell me there is an easier way!!!

    RE: Finding Backorders

Can you create a Smartlist to list all sales orders when the Qty on Backorder is greater than zero? Now when you say backorder, do mean still pending from the vendor or backordered for the clients? Either way you should be able to create a Smartlist to provide the list you seek.
