I read abouta new functionality in D365 marketing that w can send the event registration QR code via email. (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/content-blocks-reference#qr-code)

Did any one try and make it work as specified in the following link?

I tried this but could not succeed. I added the Event QR code control to the marketing email and mapped the control with event (properties tab).

When i registered the event, i received the email as per template but QR code was missing.

But the email preview in marketing email shows QR code.

Any thoughts?

    Hi ba365guy,

My marketing server version is 9.1.0000.14430, and enabled with 2020 wave 1 early access.

What's more, my application has been updated several days ago,

    pastedimage1583474519932v1.png

I found that email designer has changed to new design UI:

    pastedimage1583474636937v2.png

Below is my test, my test recipients can see their QR code.

    1. Event registration records have been created for corresponding contacts.

    2. A simple customer journey.

    3. Email with QR Code

Event registration ID in QR Code in delivered email can match to ID in event registration record.

So I suggest you could check whether there is update for your marketing application, and update the application to latest version to test again.

    Regards,

    Clofly

Is this feature part of 2020 release wave 1? But the article is dated 2019 April.

Anyways let me check if any updates are available?

    Hi,

It seems that new email designer UI is new feature.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../improved-email-content-designer

    For QR Code element,

in my opinion and from article you posted, qr code tile could be already available in 2019 wave 2.(actually the date in the article is Oct, I didn't find QR Code in application in April of last year)

I suggest you could do update, because my environment has enabled 2020 wave 1 early access and is up to date, QR Code works in my environment.

Currently I have no elder version to test.

    Regards,

    Clofly
