Contacts of Type Company do not come through using Master Data Synchronization.

Posted on by 1
Hi,

First question ever here, so please be patient, thanks for your time in advance.

We are using Business Central Version 23.1

As the title suggest, I am having an issue when trying to use Master Data Synchronization for the Contacts table. The contacts of type /Person/ come through to the recipient company, but those of Type /Company/ do not.

Some points for you to consider:

1. Both companies live in the same environment

2. Data synchronization is successful and works for contacts of type /Person/, changes in the master data to those contacts come through instantly.

3. Even after clearing the /Table filters/ on the Synchronization Tables, or even if specifically setting them to contacts of type=company. Contacts of type /Company/ are not imported.

4. When imported, contacts of type person, retain the /Company/ field, referencing the (non-transferred) company contact they are linked to.

Any ideas if this is a limitation on the functionality or if I am missing something? Is there any way to take this to Microsoft Dev team?

Thanks!

Hi, if you haven't added any customizations, this is probably a standard issue and you can submit an issue via one of the following methods.

Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.
