Inventory status report - add new field

Hello everybody,

I need to display the value of the item category  in "Inventory and warehouse management>Reports>Transaction>Inventory status report". 

How can i add a new field item category (EcoResCategory.Name) from Item master to the Inventory status report.

kindly assist me.

    Hi,

    In high level: first you should add the value of the EcoResCategory.Name to a new field in the report tmp table, modifying the report DP class or query. In Visual Studio you have to refresh the datasets, then insert the new field on the report layout. Do a rebuild, if the compile is error free, then you can deploy the report, run a CIL, and you are there.

    Thank you for your reply.

    My question is how to pass the value (EcoResCategory.Name) to the temp table in the report. i couldn't reach the code where i can do this in the DP class InventStatusDP_CN.

    Hi,

    You should have a new field with EcoResCategoryName type in the temp table, and fill it in a proper place somewhere inside the InventStatusDP_CN.processReport() method. Be aware of the right country region codes, because it is a CH report.
