Item Journal Batching

Hi Community,

Does anyone know how to post batch inventory adjustments in the "Item Journals" module in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central?

For example, I have 300 item journal lines to post for negative and positive adjustments, but it requires me to type each line out. Is there a way for me to upload a CSV or excel file instead of typing each line out?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi ,

You can use configuration package to import the data in Item Journal or you can use Ctrl + C to copy data from your excel file and  Ctrl  +V in Item Journal this is the fastest way to do so for 300 records

If my answer was helpful to you, please verify it so that other users know it worked. Thank you very much.

Edit in excel. Choose the “Share” icon (curved arrow pointing to the right)

    Hi

Both experts recommended the method. If you do not have Edit in Excel function ask your system admin to give you permission.

Also if you are on saas version you can try this free app

Thanks you. Do I have to copy and paste one by one? I tried pasting multiple rows of data but it won't allow me to post in one go.

After I click share --> Edit in excel --> Enter all my data --> What's the next step?

    Hi

This is my suggestion, populate one line then try Edit in Excel. You need to

Populate following based on exact info on file then use Publish on the right side

Then from your file copy the following in this file. Then in left site use Publish and see the message.

    Item NO
