404 Error with Dynamics CRM 2015 IFD (If user not part of CRM)

Dear Friends,

We have enabled Claim based authentication and IFD for one of our client who is using Dynamics CRM 2015. Everything is working fine.

1. User who is enabled inside CRM able to access externally. (No Issue)

2. User who is disabled inside CRM getting "User account disabled" related error message. (No Issue)

But, AD User who is not inside the CRM tried to login, its navigating to ADFS login page and after successful authentication its redirecting to "404 - Page not found" page.

Here, we are expecting to see Business Process Error page where it should display User ID doesn't match kind of meaningful error message.

Can someone help us on this? Any settings we missed while enabling ADFS? or 404 is the expected behavior of CRM with IFD?

This sounds like it could be a DNS issue.  One is using an internal IP and the other is using an external IP.    I would work with your network people because it is redirecting you to the external IP for that page which is invalid.
