Hi all,

I'm trying to copy projects between legal entities, and I can't copy one in particular. I receive this error: Cannot create a record in Hierarchies (Hierarchy). Hierarchy ID: XXXXXX The record already exists.

Any idea what could it be?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Rony,

What exact procedure/functionality are you using to copy the projects?

    Hi André,

I'm using the "Copy into legal entity" functionality".

    Thanks

    Hi Rony,

I'm missing the information which exact data entity or entities you are using and if you copy into one or multiple legal entities at once.

Is it only failing for one particular project or several or all projects?

Hi André, it happens only with a project... I was trying to copy Projects entity to one legal entity.

    Hi Rony,

Do you have any workflow with Hierarchy in Project?

    Thanks,

    Hi Jani, not at all.

Did you ever find the solution to this? It seems like the system keeps trying to use the same Hierarchy ID number sequence while increasing the project ID number sequence. I've tried resetting/editing the number sequence to no avail.

yes its a number sequence issue - resetting pre-allocation (on/off) resolves this problem for any load scenario
