I just need input to disable functionally the disable the below global views > Standard view for some users.

What our assignment is to show specific fields and do validations based on the MS OOB feature of personlization. We did it and publised the view to some users. However, we are unable to disable this standard view and users are able to switch back to default and view all the fields.

Even if any product is available, do let us know. Or any customization code !

Hi, I can help you disable the standard view for certain users in D365 FNO. Unfortunately, there is no out-of-the-box feature or product available to achieve this. However, we can use some customization code to accomplish this.

We can write a custom code that will check the user's role or permission and hide the standard view accordingly. This will prevent users from switching back to the default view and viewing all the fields. This is how we usually proceed at Triotech Systems, let me know if you would like me to provide more details on how to accomplish this.

Hi Nabeel,

The saved views is not replacing security. Saved views is for the purpose of making users more productive by hiding content which is not always required. If the purpose of hiding the standard view is about securing fields, you would need to implement table specific security to restrict access.

understood and agreed. We are working with security at table level and applying controls restrictions successfully via privilege security and selecting controls to deny. However in few areas, it is a lot of hard work. Just for instance, if I need to Hide the following in PR Lines level, I can see no option to do it. Can you help with this only example ? or any customization needed for it ?

Hi Nabeel,

In this case, you would need to have a small form extension to be able to hide it via security. In the form extension, you can change the property NeededPermission to Manual for these tab pages. In that case, no user will be able to see these tab pages and their contents unless they got control permissions via a privilege.
