We would like to seek some guidance about working with Document templates for the Open in excel functionality. We have a custom template being imported over from Production to Test system, but it is not working and throwing the below error, also the behavior for the template visibility not being as expected.

Any suggestions who would have some insight or working experience with Document templates.

Hi,

Did you try to use default template? Is it working? Also try to reset usage data.

Hi,

I am not sure what you mean by "imported" from Production to Test. Is there a function made by a developer to copy the templates or do you mean exporting it from production and importing it manually in the screenshot below?

If it is a custom function than I would try downloading it under Document templates and uploading it manually, to limit the error possibilities.

Hi,
Ref. to the error message, It means that it cannot read the Excel file. It can be since the file is corrupted or it cannot be retrieved from Azure Blob.
To resolve the issue, delete the template and upload it again,
