E-Mail Sendout Testing (10.000 contacts) Procedure - How?

Hello there, 

we are in the last steps of a Rollout with our client and we are figuring out how we could possibly Test a big sendout to really check quota limits.
For example Microsoft says, that there are a sendout possibility of 1,000,000 emails per Day.
How long does it really takes to send out 10,000 e-mails? How is the performances?

So there are 2 questions:

1. How would we Test a sendout to 10,000 email Contact. Is there a specific procedure anyone know, experiences with dummy contact or something?

2. How is the perfomance really working at 10,000 emails. Does it take 1 hour, 10 minutes, or longer/less.

This is what I found to the Limits, but we dont really know how its working and how the perfomance at our clients tenant it.

    There are often postings about the efficiency and performance of marketing email delivery, but there is no documentation that explicitly mentions these.
