How to add a button to Dashboard Homepage? Ribbon WorkBench

I'm using Dynamics CRM 2011 and want to add a button to the Dashboard Homepage.

I can successfully add buttons to Entity Homepage and they all work great.

When attempting to add a button to a dashboard via solution - I get an error message stating that I need at least one entity in the solution..

Not sure where to go from here, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

    Hi Adam,

    Inorder to add button to the Dashboard, you need to add 'Application Ribbon' component to your solution and then open that solution in ribbon workbench. Refer to the screenshot below:
