Paste inline images in OOTB email editor

Hi all,

We have the need to be able to paste inline images in an email body using the OOTB email editor in Dyanmics 365 CE V9. Currently we are using the CKEditor which we have modified to allow the pasting of inline images but we would like to get rid of it.

I would like to know if there is any possibility to copy paste inline images (like screenshots, I know you can input images that are hosted somewhere but we actually don't want to host images somewhere first) in the default emaileditor. Can this editor be altered?

I have read several questions and topics about this on the community but most questions are several years old and almost always refer to an ISV solution.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately at this present moment, D365 apps dosent allow you to have this type of copy-paste functionality in default email editor. You will have to develop your own control using PowerApps or control framework or HTML5.

Note: You can embade a powerApp withing crm form which will give you rich text box functionality.

Like Pranav suggested CRM does not support storing image within the email template.

I have not tried the following but it might be worth giving it a try as the new UCI based email editor allows you to edit HTML.

What if I don't want it in a template, when the customer care reply's to an email they should be able to Copy/past images directly into the editor and send the email with the image inline in the body.

I can past in images, but the receiver does not see the images.
