Phone call form: Direction Field is not toggling between Call To and Call from field

On the Phone call form, when a user clicks on “Direction” field then “Call to” and “Call from” should be swap/toggle e.g. if “Call To” is populated with data, on “Direction” field click “Call To” should move to “Call From”. This functionality was working in the previous version of CRM 2016. Unfortunately, this is not working in Dynamics 365 upgrade. This is one of the essential requirements of any business. Microsoft should fix this bug ASAP as we know all Dynamics CRM customers should move to the latest version by 2nd December 2017.

Please take urgent action.

    This is a known issue and Micorsoft Dynamics Team is fixing it which will be released in coming upates, mean while there is a work around to fix this bug: Following these steps

    1. Navigate to Settings>Customization>Customize the system>Forms.

    2. Remove the field: Direction>Save>Publish.

    3. Close CRM.

    4. Delete all the browsing history, Caches, cookies, temp files.

    5. Restart CRM now and navigate to Settings>Customization>Customize the system>Forms.

    6. Re add the field: Direction>Save>Publish.

    7. Check the behaviour now.

    Hi,

    Not in every case it is working. With some data type it works but not with all.

    We have already open a Ticket with Microsoft.

    Will keep updated.

    Hi,

     it seems to be working that way when creating new phone call records, though it's still working correctly when updating an existing record.

     Either way, this forum is not for reporting bugs to Microsoft - for that, you'll actually have to open a ticket with Microsoft support.
