Convert Activity to Lead

Hello,

I have a process where Activities are converted to Leads, and then following that the lead is converted to an opportunity. Out of the box, there isn't a default Convert To Lead option in the Activity entity:

I'm not sure how I can go about configuring this as an option in the Convert To pick-list. Can you advise how I can get this set up?

Hi Daniel,

OOB only Email activity has Convert to Lead option. You can make use of Ribbon Workbench to copy the functionality over to other Activities.

Hello Daniel,

If the activities are from Campaign, actually CRM already has flow to Convert to Lead.

The flow is you convert the Activity to Campaign Response then from Campaign Response, you can Convert it to the Lead and go next based on your requirement.

So, this is the concept of Campaign Activities.

If activities are not linked to any Campaign, for Email activity, you can also convert to Lead, but only for Email.

So, if it is okay for your Business using those features, then you can save some mandays to develop a custom code in ribbon action.
