hello,
I have question can we have branch setup concept in Dyn365 Business Central. as we would like to setup branches instead setting up companies and want manage all branches from one chart of accounts
In D365BC there are companies and business units. Companies have a complete setup and have all the ERP business functionalities. Business Units are like "departments" inside a company. I don't think if it fits.
thank you for the quick response let me share more details why we need branches or different business units. like branch one we will be working directly with vendor for all transactions but in case of branch two that branch will process only those orders which will go thru bank financing/flooring and of course CFO want one consolidated report in terms or company financials if this thing can be managed in business unit we are good. scenario: one order which is high in dollar amount will go thru bank financing/flooring for customer and one order with low dollar amount for same customer will go thru normal process
I think that Business Units and Responsibility Centers can fit on many scenarios you mention.
