    Hi Sandeep Chandra,

You could update the case priority by writing a custom workflow. Please refer the community thread below.

    Hi Sandeep,

'Priority' is a field on case header usually, if you cant see it; it must have been removed from the form. This field does not need any special privileges for updation, you can just select the values from the drop down list.

Go to settings>>customization>>customize the system>>entity expand>>scroll down to case>>main form>>add 'priority' field on the form

If you want the priority to be updated based on a condition, then you might need a workflow. Even then also you need to place 'priority' field on the form; update the value in the entity form under workflow and then make this field read only, so, that users can't change it manually.

I see that you have posted screenshots on the URL which Nithya has provided. And you are talking about 'Customer Priority' field there and its a custom field, moreover, its a single line of text field thats the reason you are not able to select values.

You can only select value in a lookup, drop down or two options field not in a text field.

You will have to create a workflow with three different conditions for High, Medium & Low and type this value manually in that field based on the condition under workflow form editor/update entity step.

Sandeep, you have to first check in the system what 'priority' field is used right now? Are the users using/filling data in this field? if not, add the existing/standard 'Priority' field on the form and create a workflow.

If yes, use the same field in your workflow for update
